Remember the name ‘Evan Haughey’, some day he will become a household name. On the heels of the success his band Hero Jr.’s self-titled EP (seen here), Evan released his previously shelved, also self-titled solo EP. Although the music involves some very personal issues for Evan, it supplied some great inspiration and background for design. Take a closer look below.
The songs delve into some heavy topics, including relationships and addiction, so we opted to have Evan’s drawn portrait in the center of the cover with an insane amount of illustrated imagery engulfing him. Juxtaposed on the back panel is an empty, lonely weathered layout. Evans portrait was also used on the disk, to represent him going around and around with these issues. Give the music a listen, you can feel the emotion in Evan’s voice when he signs and hopefully we were able to visually communicate the same emotion.
