Feeew, what a year it was. 2012 was good to us, real good. So good that we had to take a quick look back at some of the fun stuff that happened in twenty twelve, inside and (mostly) outside of work.
Well, lets just say it started with a BANG! We rolled the dice and got a legitimate studio space.
Lots, lots, lots of late nights and early mornings. Too many, my back still hurts thinking about it.
With the help of lots of family and friends, somehow we got the space ‘good enough’ to start working out of it. I don’t think it will ever really be finished, but it does the trick. Check out a full photo recap.
Next up we employed the services of intern Rashelle, aka Iggy. She helped out on lots of design work, photo work and even got to screen print! It was a short stint, but it was lots of fun. So we had a fun little shindig to celebrate the studio being ‘open’ and to send Iggy off in style.
We even got to meet the imfamous Trina! (Tree + Na, amazing)

With the summer in full swing, it was time second annual Camp Make Effect. So freaking fun! More photos here.
After all of that craziness, it was time for some relaxation. So we took a little vacay to Martha’s Vinyard.
Look at that group. I want to go back to there.
There were family tattoos.
And fancy weddings and weird outfits.
Now, it wasn’t all fun and games. There was marathon running and yoga with Frannie.
Oh, yeah, and we did some design and illustration work! (Above is the album artwork for Big Dammit)
We were lucky enough to work for some big name clients, like Adidas, ESPN and Payless.
And we were fortunate to design for smaller companies, like the identity system for a new local business Square Nail!
From ‘cool’ illustrated poster work, to traditional ‘corporate’ design and layout, we did it all. And lots of it.
For the finale of such a fantastic year, the cherry was placed perfectly on top with an over-the-top (see what I did there) ICNC Christmas party at the Garfield Conservatory. Such an amazing place. Heres to an even better 2013, happy new year mutherfuckers!
