Get excited people, Camp Make Effect is back at it! This year with an all new website!!! We were super happy that Michelle (camp director) asked us to design the site. We also had the pleasure of working with one Mr. John Boverhoff on the development. The site is live, so go take a gander. And don’t procrastinate on applying, the spots are filling up fast.

Feeeew! After a week of being out in the beautiful wilderness of Manistee, MI for the 2nd annual Make Effect art camp we are whooped. There was lots of letterpressin’, screen-printin’ and straight-up art makin’. But there was also was plenty of teepee biuldin’, beverage sippin’ and late night lake sparkler swimin’. We promise lots more photos shortly, right now its time for a snooze after such crazy fun with friends.

Camp Make Effect ’12 April 17th, 2012
Screw taxes, you’ve got a more important due date to meet this Saturday, CAMP MAKE EFFECT 2012 applications are due! Come escape with us to Camp Make Effect for learning, relaxation, creativity and camaraderie. By day get messy making and trying out new processes and by night get silly around the campfire. It promises to be an experience of a lifetime, check out out last year if you don’t believe us.

A few weeks back Abigail designed up a little (yet pretty big) tattoo for one Mr. Charles P. Wynne – yes, that would be her little brother. He went to Germany for a 6-month study abroad program and wanted to commemorate the experience. The clock tower image was re-illustrated from a photo Charlie took while roaming around his host-town. Good family fun. Also of note, Charlie is still in high school. Awesome. A close-up of the design in pixels and ink is below.

We’ve been working on the identity and branding for a really fun art + design retreat that will be happening this summer in the great mitten state of Michigan called Make Effect. With Michelle Bowers, the lovely type legend, at the rains and a theme of ‘peace+quiet, think+try it’ this promised to be a super fun summer experience. We can’t freakin’ wait! Europe Trip 2010 January 15th, 2010
Just got back from 3 weeks of Europe Amazingness. Starting in Ireland with the whole family for Christmas we saw Dublin, Dingle, Knox, and Killala. Then for new years we headed out with the siblings to see London. Followed by Paris and our oh-so-favorite Barcelona with just the two of us. We saw some beautiful places, breathtaking art, ate some tastey grub, and meet some brilliant people. Now its time to work on the book we’ve promised to make as a collection of everything on our trip. Look out for it- its coming soon!
