Get excited people, Camp Make Effect is back at it! This year with an all new website!!! We were super happy that Michelle (camp director) asked us to design the site. Spring is here and beauty is everywhere! Spring is beautiful, paper cuts are beautiful, and you are beautiful! It’s true. It may still be cold out there, but we’re excited to share that Abby’s Artwork was chosen for Paper Cuts spring edition. A project created by iolabs, Paper Cuts chooses a quarterly print project featuring work by selected artists. Abby’s charming take on the “You Are Beautiful” movement initiated by Matthew Hoffman, is printed with archival inks on birch-wood veneer mounted to a 1/2-inch cherry-wood panel. Available in 8 x 10-inch and 11 x 14-inch formats, it’s ready to hang! Prints are also available.

A while back we had a group of Upshot folks in the studio for an adventurous screen-printing session. We printed 150+, 4-color, large format posters, with people that had never printered before, IN ONE DAY! Quite the challenge, but well worth it as the amazing artwork by the super duper illustrator Steve Salgado turned out beautifully.

The magnificent Mr. Mathew Hoffman, founder of the You Are Beautiful movement, is curating an exhibition that will survey the project from inception to present day. Over the month of February, YAB will fill the raw spaces of The Green Exchange, culminating in a one night public gala. JHDC was invited to design an Uncommon iPhone case for the occasion, a closer look at the artwork and event details are below.
